IOST 2020 Q3 International Partner Nodes Meeting Recap
On 22 September 2020, IOST held an International Partner Nodes meeting via Zoom to introduce new node partners, as well as summarize the past quarter developments.
Following this meeting, partner nodes should submit their contribution reports for Q3 by September 30, 2020, 23:59 (UTC+8). Due to the China national public holiday from 1st Oct to 11th Oct, the initial 2020 Q3 ranking results will be released on 13th October 2020.
Here’s a quick recap to the third quarter nodes meeting.
New Partner Nodes Introduction
1. CryptoDiffer
Maks from CryptoDiffer shared with other nodes about his social media marketing team for blockchain and crypto companies. CryptoDiffer is not a new name and is a popular crypto channel that many investors go to for engaging, updated crypto-related news and infographics.
CryptoDiffer joined and started contributing to IOST at the end of Q2, and will combine their work in Q2 and submit to Q3 contribution reports. CryptoDiffer contributes to IOST not only in terms of news and updates distribution, but also featuring IOST in various rankings where applicable.
2. Generation Crypto
Generation Crypto is the latest content node added to the IOST nodes ecosystem. Ben from Generation Crypto gave a briefing on his team, and their specialization. While joining the IOST nodes ecosystem later than the rest, Generation Crypto started helping IOST with news distribution even prior to the official nodes listing.
G.Crypto has partnered with 40+ blockchain projects to date, with a solid community of over 10 thousands investors.
3. Pumpking
Kerr from Pumpking is the last node to share about his project. The first yield farming project on IOST was created by Pumpking, in which users can stake IOST with or without PPT tokens to earn PPT staking rewards, which will halve every 7 days. At the end of his brief introduction about Pumpkin, Kerr highlighted that Pumpking is working with other teams and nodes in IOST to explore more use cases for PPT tokens, and that more is to come.
Summary of IOST’s Development
Stephanie Ma, IOST’s Head of International Marketing conducted a summary of IOST development in which she highlighted:
- IOST’s successful listing on the leading compliant exchange in Japan- Coincheck & how this first step will open up more listing and business opportunities in Japan
- IOST’s basic technology & overall blockchain performance being well-endorsed by China’s CCID blockchain ranking
- IOST’s DeFi progress, with a launch of the first yield farming project by Pumpking partner node, and an upcoming project Watermelon by another node to be revealed soon
- In response to the nodes’ suggestions on stablecoin and Oracle, Stephanie highlighted that IOST is working with 2 well-known institutions to develop in these areas.
- How new partner nodes- CryptoDiffer, Generation Crypto, Pumpking worked with IOST and contributed to our developments before they even officially joined the nodes ecosystem.
