In January 2020, a new year, IOST Korea Branch will host a meetup with the community. The IOST Korea community started for the first time in the first quarter of 2018 and has been very close for about two years. The members participated in the community as investors in IOST, and the IOST Foundation would like to thank the Korea community for their support for the past two years. The Foundation is holding a Meetup to bring everyone together and develop IOST together in 2020!

The Seoul Meetup at the IOST Foundation will be a place to look back on 2018–19 IOST and unveil its plans for 2020. Currently, more than 3,000 people are members of the IOST community in Korea, and Korea is a very important country for IOST. As of 2020, over ten companies and individuals are participating as IOST ecosystem partners in Korea. Korea’s top Crypto VC 100&100 Venture Capital, Korea’s major news media outlet JoinD and Dstreet, Korea’s top tier developer group, QED, Korea’s best blockchain marketing company, Heritage Blocks, and Xangle to provide more transparent blockchain disclosures. Various blockchain-related talents in Korea are making efforts to develop IOST together.

In January of 2020, CTO Terry will meet with partners in Korea and discuss ways to create synergy to further develop IOST. In addition, the team will listen to the opinions of the community members in Korea. IOST has been loved by many people since the launch of the mainnet. But to take a step forward, our community’s more attention and support is essential. In 2020, IOST is pursuing a more decentralized community, and starting with the January meetup in Korea, the Foundation plans to host more offline events to communicate with the community.
