It has always been the Foundation’s policy to work closely with government agencies and regulatory bodies to develop real-world solutions and intellectual property that drives technological innovation.

In Singapore, IOST has been working closely with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to leverage their network in developing a seamless data bridge for IOST where information, transactions and asset values can be easily transferred between IOST and Ethereum. This interoperability solution should ideally be able to expand to other blockchains such as EOS, Stellar, Tron and more in the next phase of development.

Applications for this Interoperability challenge has closed and we have entered into evaluation stage together with IMDA and KPMG.

In early 2019, the IOST Foundation announced the launch of its official Token Buyback Program. The Program’s objectives are to (i) provide market support and price confidence and (ii) grow the store of IOST held by the Foundation, which can be circulated back into the ecosystem to encourage the long-term development of the mainnet.

For Q3 2019, the Foundation is pleased to announced that we have completed a token buyback amount of 50 million IOST. The buyback address for this round of buyback is shown as follows: 7ii2sj6zp43.

Going forward, the IOST Foundation will continue its Token Buyback Program at its discretion, with the key objectives of providing market support and contributing to ecosystem growth and development.

In April this year, IOST announced its Global User Acquisition Program — Project Pegasus, and its plan to distribute airdrop to IOST’s long-time supporters who have staunchly stood with IOST since the launch of our mainnet.

To extend our appreciation to long-time IOST supporters, the Foundation has prepared an exclusive airdrop surprise for you. Between March 1 to August 1, 2019, the longer you had staked your IOST, the higher the amount of airdrop you will receive.

This first batch of airdrop for September has been issued to holders, and there will be two more airdrops in October and November.

IOST has always prioritized users’ cryptoassets security and enhance asset storage and management experiences for our community.

Back in July, IOST announced its strategic partnership with ColdLar, a leading blockchain assets security service provider. We are happy to announce that ColdLar Wallet APP and ColdLar Pro3, the latest hardware wallet by ColdLar, have been integrated with the IOST ecosystem.

ColdLar Hardware Wallet has a significant market share in the high-end hardware cold wallet market, having successfully penetrated and build strong followings in markets including Japan, South Korea, US, Singapore and Russia.

Now, its latest product, ColdLar Pro3 has officially integrated with IOST. In the near future, other products from ColdLar will support IOST ecosystem, including ColdLar Touch line, Cloud Wallet, ColdLar Line E, and more.

The IOST Foundation is excited to announce our partnership with JustCo to unveil the IOST Launchpad, a global initiative to give promising and talented blockchain founders building on IOST a platform to launch, market and accelerate the growth of their applications.

JustCo Labs has now joined the IOST ecosystem as a Node, and will play a contributing role to the IOST ecosystem. The IOST Launchpad will provide blockchain developers and talented founders with support across all areas to accelerate their businesses’ growth and development.

If you are a blockchain project, founder or developer who wishes to be part of IOST Launchpad, please reach out to Lawrence Lim, Head of International Development at

On Sep 25, a Blockchain Free Education Program was held at at Osaka Sangyo University, Department of Information Systems, with 100 students attending the masterclass. Students learnt the characteristics, market size, and utility cases that form the basics of blockchain technology. Students were divided into groups and discussed problem solving using blockchain technology to create value in Daito City.

Coming up on Oct 10, IOST CTO Terrence Wang will join Ryan Lackey (Chief Security Officer, Tezos), Nikhil Sharma (Principal Engineer, Oasis Labs) and Duy Huynh (Project Lead, Incognito) in Osaka to discuss the Future of Proof-of-Stake and how it will transform blockchain.
