IOST Interviewed by People’s Daily- China’s Largest Newspaper Group.
People’s Daily- the largest newspaper group in China recently interviewed IOST cofounder Terry Wang when he was attending the Chengdu International Digital Culture Creation Industry Summit. People’s Daily is an official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, published worldwide with a circulation of 3 million.
According to People’s Daily, IOST is now one of the top four DApp public chains alongside with Ethereum, EOS, and Tron.
In the interview, Terry first introduced the landscape of the ever-increasing blockchain game market, and then analyzed the revolution in the game industry brought by blockchain. He followed by demonstrating IOST’s game ecosystem from the perspectives of IOST’s mainnet technical advantages and successful partnerships. Terry commented that game is the best scenario for blockchain mass adoption. For the whole blockchain game industry, a game can become a best-seller if it brings good quality, entertainment, and characteristics of blockchain.
IOST x Japanese Medical Health Tech Venture “Pracs” To Power Medical Record Platform
In a bid to promote the use of blockchain technology in the segment of the healthcare industry, IOST has inked an alliance with Japanese Medical Health Tech Venture “Pracs” to develop a secure, transparent, and tamper-proof on-chain medical record platform.
Established in 2017 as a student entrepreneurship support program of Kinki University in Japan, Pracs’ first notable work was in-house medical application software that:
- commercializes the disease management notebook (FAP PASSPORT) and the graduate research related to medical care at the university
- utilized for creating family trees for medical care
In the future, IOST will continue to aim at “innovation chain, application chain, value chain” as its goal, keep working on technology-driven development, use advanced and innovative blockchain technology to empower the physical industry, promote the transformation and upgrade of traditional industries, and empower the development of the digital economy.
IOST On-Chain Governance Mechanism Taking Effect On July 1, 2020
IOST partner nodes can independently initiate proposals on the governance of the IOST mainnet and decide whether the proposal will pass through the referendum of all node partners. Users can also participate in IOST mainnet governance indirectly by voting for nodes. The governance mechanism covers the core governance structure of IOST and the process of community participation. It will be officially launched on July 1, 2020, which marks the official entry of the IOST public chain into the era of decentralized governance.
IOST & Media Company GameTea to Foster Blockchain Gaming with “Blockchain Gaming Entrepreneurs Camp”
In a bid to further deepen cooperation with the GameTea team and achieve a win-win situation for both projects, on May 27, 2020, at the IGS Chengdu International Digital Culture and Creative Industry Summit, IOST co-founder Terry and Wang Jialun, CEO of GameTea, officially announced the Blockchain Gaming Entrepreneurship Camp to provide game developers with comprehensive incubation support and enable the growing adoption of blockchain games.
IOST is to provide the development teams with services such as traditional games to blockchain modification and game props “NFTization”, revitalize traditional games while allowing more users to understand the blockchain technology and its benefits, and provide a full set of support tools for small and medium-sized game development teams, including but not limited to technology, funding, advertisement, and volume.
GameTea is to tap on its rich resources in China to provide developer teams with free office space, project proposals, game designs, media communication, and game community operation support
New IOST Node Contribution Reward System Taking Effect From July 1st, 2020
On June 10, IOST officially released version 4.0 of its Staking mechanism. In this version, the IOST partner node’s contribution rewards allocated by votes are moved to the contribution rewards allocated by contributions. After this revision, the contribution rewards distribution has only changed for the partner nodes, there is no change for the voters, and the weight of contributions and votes is still relatively balanced. In addition, after the adjustment, each partner node’s quarterly contribution reward can reach 1.47 million IOST.
IOST Mainnet Olympus v3.3.4 Update | Security & Ease of Use
On June 8, 2020, the IOST team officially released Olympus v3.3.4 update for the IOST mainnet. The keywords for the newly released v3.3.4 of the Olympus are Security and Ease of Use. Improvements such as harsh code audits and improved information logs have greatly improved the security and usability of the IOST mainnet.
As the most important underlying infrastructure of a public chain ecosystem, the mainnet’s performance determines its development. In more than a year since the mainnet launch, the IOST development team has maintained an innovative attitude and has updated and optimized its versions frequently.
TokenPocket Wallet Officially Supports IOST NFT Assets
TokenPocket- the world’s leading multi-currency decentralized digital wallet officially supports IOST NFT assets.

Powermine Unveils 1st DeFi Project Uniswap- A Push for IOST DeFi Ecosystem Growth
Powermine group’s Uniswap V1 officially goes live for IOST.
The Automated Liquidity Protocol Uniswap solves the pain point that most tokens face, which is the lack of liquidity (the orderbooks in the DEX for most tokens are often either very thin or non-existent). This liquidity makes the token (usually from a DAPP) way less appealing for the users and thus the DAPPS can bring in more volume and attract a larger userbase.
Porting Uniswap is just the first part of a large roadmap that Powermine has planned to expand the IOST DeFi Ecosystem. Powermine Group is laying down the building blocks to strengthen the IOST ecosystem from several fronts.
