IOST Mainnet Olympus V3.3.6 Updates | Security & Code Refactoring

In early September, IOST Mainnet Olympus v3.3.6 was officially released with security and code factoring updates.

Optimizations in Olympus v3.3.6:

  1. Security Update
  • Fixed the bug that could let a large number of malicious constructs using BigInt64Array in virtual machines exhaust the virtual machine pool, which makes the node unable to execute transactions and neither synchronize.

2. Code Refactoring

  • More golangci-lint options have been opened, and 19 sub-linters have been added.
  • In addition, IOST will release Olympus v3.4.0 in the near future.

1st Yield Farming project on the IOST ecosystem, Pumpkin, with rewards halving every 7 days and 13M IOST airdrops

Pumpkin Token (PPT) is an IRC20 token issued on the IOST chain. The total supply of PPT is 2,927,232, and 95% of the total supply will be released to users through yield farming.

The IOST technical team has completed a preliminary audit of Pumpkin’s contract and Pumpkin is working with a well-known third-party professional team for the second round of audit.

The Pumpkin contract uses a timelock mechanism and will open when pumpkin goes live. After the contract owner enables the timelock, if he wants to update the contract, he must first call “stopTimelock”. After that, the contract can be updated after 24h.

IOST to Securely Share Medical Records with Japanese Medical Health Tech Venture Pracs

Earlier in June, IOST announced the partnership with Japan’s Pracs to build a secure, transparent, and tamper-proof on-chain medical record platform. We are now seeing progress in this development and want to share it with the community.

IOST Japanese developer community is always leading a pilot project in various sectors. EverSystems, IOST developer certificate awarded, has been working with Pracs, a university-launched health technology venture, to develop a public chain-based application that allows users (patients) to have reliable information about their personal illnesses and health that can be trusted by third parties.
