1. IOST X Liebi | Interoperability Breakthrough With The Launch Of Cross-Chain Bridge

Liebi, a Chinese development team with rich experience in the field, is chosen to work with the IOST development team on the seamless IOST cross-chain bridge that enables the transfer of the information, transactions and asset values between IOST and other blockchains. Through the IOST cross-chain bridge, IOST blocks can be easily forwarded and mapped to different blockchain networks through the relay chain.

For users, IOST cross-chain bridge enables cross-chain asset transactions, and other services in the relay chain, e.g. DeFi, DEX, Staking, etc. It can bring extra liquidity for the asset and enhanced security to users.
For developers, IOST cross-chain bridge can enable cross-chain smart contract interoperation, reduce multi-chain development costs, realize multi-chain user sharing, data interconnection, and interoperability.

2. IOST HIVEHack Hackathon in Japan Successfully Held

On February 20-21, 2020, IOST jointly hosted the HIVEHack hackathon with the well-known private university Kindai in Japan, who provided the venue and incentivized their professors and students to participate in the Hackathon.

It is worth mentioning that this hackathon was not exclusively for developers, but also blockchain enthusiasts who do not have any developing skills. In addition, IOST co-founder Terry, Japan’s leading blockchain developers and blockchain industry practitioners all participated as lecturers and corporative speakers.
In the future, IOST will popularize blockchain technology in Japan through more educational activities and the resources of Japanese universities, to further enhance IOST’s project awareness among young developer groups and tap into more promising blockchain industry talents and outstanding developers.

3. IOST’s "One-Click Token Launch" Function Officially Released

The brand new “One-Click Token Launch” function was developed by IOST TOOL, an IOST developer partner node. Being a professional blockchain developers team, TOOL has extensive experience in developing dApps for multiple public blockchain projects such as Ethereum and EOS.
In the future, IOST TOOL team will also develop more tools based on the IOST mainnet: lease gas, create accounts, DApps exploration and more. A complete solution for everyday usage that helps newcomers quickly enter the IOST world!

4. IOST X ROAD | Working Together to Boost Adoption of The Internet of Vehicles

Recently, IOST and ROAD have reached a strategic partnership in which both parties will explore common areas in multiple blockchain application scenarios.
ROAD will join the IOST ecosystem and open vehicle data to IOST as well as assist IOST in building a decentralized IoV node and open APIs to the IOST network. In the future, both parties will have a large amount of data exchange and the yet traditional payment services that are enabled on ROAD will be open to evolving with the smart contracts on IOST.

Until now, there were many mobile wallets supporting the IOST ecosystem, but the only desktop wallet available was iWallet, till now.
Recently, a new member joined the IOST "Wallet Ecosystem Family" - Jetstream, this wallet was developed by the South Korean Q.E.D development team. As a Chrome extension wallet, Jetstream has smooth interaction and complete functions. In addition to experiencing basic functions such as Web-based DApp and token transfer, there are IOST mainnet account creation support, cross-chain support, NFT asset support, IRC-20 tokens support, multi-language support, node partner voting support and other functions.

6. IOST X Suterusu | Providing Layer 2 Privacy Protection and Enabling More Application Scenarios for IOST

On 10 February 2020, IOST reached a strategic partnership with the privacy protection centered project Suterusu, both parties will carry out in-depth technical cooperation on blockchain privacy protection and applications. Suterusu will use their zero-knowledge protocol ZK-ConSNARK to build a Layer-2 sidechain for IOST enabling functions such as private transfers, private finance and private contracts on IOST, also, it can provide IOST based DeFi projects higher levels of privacy protection. Through this partnership, IOST will achieve on-chain data privacy protection; this will greatly broaden the practical application of IOST public chain technology and will also provide more privacy and security services to the IOST mainnet users.
