Developer Community on Slack

This week IOST began its “Global Developer Meetup Series”. On 13th January, an IOST workshop which gave detailed introduction of developing DAPPs by using Javascript to Japanese developers was held in Kyoto. Later one day, IOST was invited to attend Blockchain Unicoms Tokyo and shared insights on blockchain with other famous Japanese blockchain projects.

The trip to Japan brought IOST many Japanese developers to join IOST’s developer community, some of the developers and teams also expressed their willingness of developing DAPPs on IOST or being IOST’s nodes.

IOST’s node voting received interested from the IOST developer community. Developers from North America, South Korea, Japan, UK, Russia and Venezuela participated in node voting campaigns. Some of the developers also voluntarily helped IOST on building websites and products.

A new channel #dapp was created in IOST developer community on Slack for encouraging more discussions about DAPPs and attracting more DAPP developers to join our community. We sincerely invite DAPP developers collaborating with us. IOST team will help the DAPP’s development and Mainnet migration all the way through. We are also willing to share resources with our DAPP partners.

Upcoming events

  • 26th January, IOST team will visit Philippines and hold new round of DAPP workshop in Manila.
  • 28th — 31st January, another DAPP workshop will be held in Singapore.
