IOST Mainnet Transaction Volume Breaks 400 Million!
Since the official launch of the IOST mainnet on February 25, 2019, our mainnet numbers such as the number of DApps, the number of mainnet accounts, and the number of mainnet transactions have all grown rapidly. In terms of technology, ecosystem, market, partner nodes, etc. we have also gradually made major achievements and as a result became a leading public chain platform alongside Ethereum, EOS, and Tron.
As of July 9, 2020, the number of transactions on the IOST mainnet officially exceeded 400 million, reaching 400,515,735 transactions.
The unique PoB consensus mechanism of the IOST main network allows the IOST mainnet to have excellent performance, high scalability, and high concurrency on the basis of decentralization and security and can allow thousands of transactions to be conducted simultaneously. This provides a solid technical base and support for IOST to develop deeper cooperation with governments and enterprises.
Mainnet voting
Thanks to the support of more than 400 partner nodes and all community members in the IOST ecosystem, the total number of IOST that are under voting has exceeded 4.6 billion, reaching 4.62 billion, accounting for 30.8% of the circulating supply.
This breakthrough progress means that the IOST ecosystem is deeply recognized and well supported by organizations and community users, and will lay a solid foundation for IOST to continue exploring and deploying new models and propositions in the blockchain industry.
In December 2018, the IOST partner program was officially launched globally. As of now, we have recruited over 400 partner nodes worldwide, received strong support from community members, developers, DApp development teams, media companies, exchanges, mining pools, blockchain enthusiasts, and more! IOST Ranks 1st in Basic Tech
On June 18, 2020, the China Electronics and Information Industry Development Institute (CCID Research Institute) released the 18th issue of the Global Public Chain Technology Evaluation Index. Notably, the latest issue of the index, that ranks the top 37 public blockchain projects in the world has put IOST at a respectful 4th position — rising up a spot from its rank in the previous period. The top four projects comprise EOS, TRON (TRX), Ethereum (ETH), and IOST, respectively.
According to the latest rankings published by the CCID which comes under the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, decentralized, public blockchain network IOST ranked 1st in the basic-tech field scoring 108.7 points. Overall, the project ranked 4th ahead of the likes of some of the most prominent cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Stellar (XLM), XRP, NEO, and Litecoin (LTC), among several others.
