IOST Secures 1st Place in Basic Technology & 3rd Place in the 21st CCID Rankings

In the 21st issue of the Global Public Chain Technology Evaluation Index announced by the China Electronics and Information Industry Development Institute (CCID Research Institute) on Dec 15, 2020, IOST continues to secure the 3rd position and the 1st spot in basic technology, outperforming TRON, Stellar, & other leading blockchains. This highlights IOST’s stable growth and market influence.

The evaluation results show that the top five on this list are EOS, Ethereum , IOST , TRON and Stellar.

In terms of the basic technology sub-index, IOST took the top spot with 110.2 points, while EOS, wave field, public trust chain and Steem chain ranked second to fifth respectively.

The evaluation model remains unchanged, and the evaluation is conducted from three main aspects: basic technology, applicability and innovation. The basic technology mainly evaluates the technical realization level of the public chain. The main points of investigation include the function, performance, security and decentralization of the public chain. The sub-index accounts for 65% of the total index. Applicability mainly evaluates the comprehensive level of public chain support for practical applications. The inspection content includes node deployment, wallet application, development support, and application implementation. The sub-index accounts for 20% of the total index. Innovation power mainly examines the continuous innovation of public chains. The inspection points include the scale of developers, code updates and code influence. The sub-index accounts for 15% of the total index.
