In September 2021, IOST was listed on OKJCoinJapan (OKJ)
In November 2021, OKJ joined as an IOST node to support the IOST ecosystem. Since then, we have worked on cooperative campaigns for the Japanese community.
In December 2022, OKJ and IOST held the “2022 End-of-the-Year Community Party” to thank the OKJ and IOST supporters. We invited industry professionals and community members and looked back together on 2022, a year of crypto upheaval.

Thank You Speech by OKJ and IOST

The event began with a thank-you speech by OKJ and IOST. The speech was given by a community participant who was selected from the public on behalf of the community.

OKJ and guests’ speeches

In the middle of the event, OKJ explained the services and features of the exchange and opined on the changes in crypto assets in 2022 and the market in 2023. Dr. Wada of EverSystem and Mr. Takemura of Platinum Egg, regular speakers of CEDEC — Japan’s largest game developer conference — who have developed web3games on IOST, were invited as guest speakers, spoke about the advantages of the IOST blockchain and presented a concept for a new Web3 game in development.

Quiz, cake, and fun

After the OKJ and guests’ talks, all event participants enjoyed a fun quiz about OKJ’s services and the IOST ecosystem.

The event concluded with a surprise cake. The cake featured a panda character representing the bond between OKJ and IOST. The creator of the panda character, the famous Japanese manga artist Chihiro Tamaki, also came to the event to share her thoughts on creating the panda character with the participating community members.

2022 has been an eventful year for the crypto industry, and it is truly thanks to the community that IOST has been able to stay in the game in the Web3 market this past year. Thank you for your support over the past year, and we look forward to working with the community to make even greater strides in 2023.
