The IOST Partner Node Starlight Program- New Program Starting Now in Q4 2020
In a bid to encourage more outstanding partners to participate in the growth of the IOST ecosystem, and to ensure that the partner nodes’ great efforts and significant contributions are rewarded accordingly, the IOST Foundation has listened to feedback from the community and made some progressive changes in the cooperation plan with the partner nodes.
The contribution reward rules have been adjusted accordingly and will be introduced in this document, with 2 main changes being the contribution rewards breakdown and the assessment process.
The IOST Node Partner Starlight Program is officially live now and is to be implemented starting from Q4 2020.
Below is the partner node reward distribution. Partner Nodes’ block rewards and the daily voting rewards will not be affected. In terms of contribution rewards, it will be evaluated differently from the past, with no quarterly contribution report submission required and no tier ranking across nodes.
1. The IOST Partner Node Starlight Program — Rewards
Starting from Q4 2020, IOST Foundation will adjust the contribution reward according to the market feedback and the actual cooperation with partner nodes, and increase the support for excellent partner nodes. Below are the average standards rewards:
- Grade 1: 1,650,000 IOST per node
- Grade 2: 850,000 IOST per node
- Grade 3: 400,000 IOST per node
- Grade 4: 100,000 IOST per node
- Grade 5: 20,000 IOST per node
Notes:
- The above rewards are average standards. The specific amounts are subject to the rating results of the IOST Rating Committee, with the maximum total rewards pool of 420M IOST Per Year.
- All rewards will be distributed within 30 working days after the final results are announced.
- There is no upper limit on the number of partner nodes who can get contribution rewards of the same grade.
2. IOST Partner Node Starlight Program — Rules
No quarter contribution plan is required. Instead, we encourage a quarter plan and regular biweekly updates and progress. Rewards amount will be discussed and estimated between nodes and IOST directly at the beginning of each quarter after nodes submit their quarter plans, and distributed at the end of it.
1. Submit a plan:
All the partner nodes must submit the quarterly cooperation plan to the corresponding regional responsible (China, Japan, Korea, International) within the first 30 days of each quarter, including but not limited to:
- The Operational plan
- The Development Plan
- The Promotion plan
2. Submit bi-weekly progress:
Provide relevant progress every two weeks, including but not limited to:
- Product/Development/Promotion progresses
- Key data
- Related Links
Starting now, partner nodes should contact IOST regional node manager for your contribution plan and progress.

*A node should not miss more than 2 biweekly node updates. All node updates will be presented on the IOST Biweekly Nodes Showcase series for the IOST community to view.
3. How to onboard IOST as Partner Node
IOST Partner Node Voting is an on-going process and will continue into perpetuity. All community members are welcome to join the IOST Global Partners Program. Voting will not only benefit you but also determine the future of IOST.
At the same time, candidate applications for IOST Partners Program will remain open without deadlines or limitations. We hope that more community members can become IOST partners, participate in the IOST community governance and ecosystem building, receive generous rewards, and together build the future of IOST.

About the IOST Partner Node Program
Back in 2018, IOST first launched its Global Partner Node Program.
