Intel Joule 570 is a powerful system on module (SoM) designed to help inventors and IoT developers make to a new generation of robots, drones, and IoT devices that are equipped with Intel HD Graphics, 3D modeling, object recognition, and interactive capabilities. It combines a 64-bit, Quad-Core compute engine with power management services, wireless connectivity and high speed I/O .

Module Features

Electrical Interfaces

  • Up to 48 GPIO (including 4 PWMs)
  • Up to 2 USB 3.0 interfaces plus 1 USB 2.0 with OTG support
  • Up to 4 independant UARTs

  • 14 nm, 64 bit, quad-core Intel Atom processor at 1.5 GHz or 1.7 GHz with 2.4 GHz burst

  • 3 GB or 4 GB of package-on-package (PoP) LPDDR4 RAM
  • 8 GB or 16 GB of eMMC 5.0

Graphics

  • On-chip Intel HD Graphics
  • 450 MHz with burst up to 650 MHz
  • 4K video display

Wireless

  • Integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
  • 802.11ac Wi-Fi dual band (2.4 and 5 GHz)
  • Bluetooth 4.2 compliant
  • MHF4 connectors for external antennas

The Intel Joule module offers a robust software stack, including a pre-installed Linux*-based OS tailored for IoT based on the Yocto* Project, with support for the Intel IoT Developer Kit sensor libraries. It also has Intel RealSense software support.

Developers also have access to the Intel System Studio IoT Edition for C++ and the Intel XDK for JavaScript* development.
