Since the announcement of Intel® Joule™ module, our team at Gumstix® has been hard at work providing Intel IoT innovators a faster path to market. We are happy to announce that the Intel® Joule™ module and 2 tiny but powerful 4K and HD cameras are now available in the Gumstix Online Store.

Intel Joule™ 570x Module

With the addition of the Intel® Joule™ module on our store, we become your one-stop shop for all your Intel IoT development needs. We have 7 expansion boards, an Active Cooling System accessory, and now the Module.

In addition to the Intel® Joule™ module being available in our store, we are excited to announce two new cameras that works with the Intel® Joule™ module! These tiny cameras are designed specifically for mobile and embedded devices. We have created a quick start guide to get your camera ready.

Caspa 4K Camera

The Gumstix® Caspa 4K camera module is a 13 MP Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor and auto-focus lens unit. The sensor is primarily targeted at mobile device applications. Its features include:

  • 13MP (4208 × 3120) and 4K(3840 × 2160) stills and video at 30 FPS
  • 1080p (1920 × 1080) stills and video at 60 FPS
  • ‘HDR Video’ mode — SME-HDR stills and 4K video output at 30 FPS (60 FPS at 1080p)
  • 10-bit RGB RAW output
  • 2- to 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 data bus
  • Mechanical auto-focus lens

Caspa HD Camera

The Gumstix® Caspa HD Camera module is a 5 megapixel(MP) Omnivision OV5670 CMOS sensor designed for embedded devices. Its features include:

  • 5MP(2592 x 1944) and Quad-HD(2560 x 1440) stills and video at 30 FPS
  • 1080p(1920 × 1080) and 720p(1280 × 720) stills and video at 60 FPS
  • 10-bit RGB RAW output
  • 1- or 2-lane MIPI CSI-2 data bus
  • Ultra-Low Power Mode (ULPM)
  • Interleave-row HDR support
