Zhijie Shen
Staff Blockchain Engineer
Zhijie has just joined us as a staff blockchain engineer to architect and develop IoTeX blockchains. He has a wealth of experience in distributed systems, P2P networks and big data over the past 10 years. Zhijie was actively working on open source projects such as MapReduce, Pig and Samza. He is the committer and PMC of Hadoop and Samza, and the member of Apache Software Foundation. Earned Ph.D in Computer Science at National University of Singapore, Zhijie has 10+ publications and patents.
Zhijie was tech-leading efficiency and optimization of data infrastructure Facebook. Before that, he was a Member of Technical Staff at Hortonworks, focusing on Hadoop YARN, which is the resource management system for various Hadoop ecosystem workloads. Prior to Hortonworks, Zhijie was working as a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft, working on the cloud-based file synchronization service.
Hao Cui
Software Engineer Intern
Hao is joining us as our software engineer intern. Master in software engineering at Carnegie Mellon University,an experienced web developer and a blockchain enthusiast. He will spend the summer with us helping with the development of the IoTeX blockchains by leveraging perspectives from the research team and utilizing decades of cryptography and distributed systems experience collectively. With his fresh ideas and enthusiasm, this will be one of our best summers ever!
