1 —CNBC: According to Ericsson CEO, Borje Ekholm, no one is ahead of his company when it comes to the fifth generation of mobile internet. He elaborated that he also sees the current geopolitics as a hindrance to the advancement of 5G.

2 — TechCrunch: IoT startup, Skylo made a $103 million Series B funding announcement led by SoftBank Group. The company is using its funding to provide satellite connectivity to products and companies on Earth at an affordable price.

3 — ZDNet: Hackers published a list of Telnet credentials for more than 515,000 servers, home routers, and IoT smart devices. The leaked list includes each device’s IP address, along with a username and password for the Telnet service.

4 —The Guardian: Despite warnings from the US government, the UK hinted that it will allow Huawei a role in its 5G mobile network. Although a decision hasn’t been made yet, sources claim market conditions between the two countries are vastly different.

5 —RCR Wireless: Japan’s government announced plans to put together a comprehensive strategy regarding future “6G” wireless communications networks. They will also set up a panel to start discussions around 6G development, utilization and more.
