Cryptocurrency hardware wallet D’CENT announced on 29th, that the company has signed a partnership agreement to build an ecosystem for Kakao’s blockchain project, Klaytn.

With the agreement, Klaytn-based token (KCT) and Klaytn’s cryptocurrency (KLAY) can be managed from the D’CENT wallet. By supporting KCT-based Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), blockchain game assets can also be safely stored within the wallet. Additionally, the D’CENT wallet will sequentially support the token swap service allowing exchange between ERC-20 tokens and KCT-based tokens.

D’CENT is developing KCT-based token listing and swap service as newly added features in the latest Android application, which will be released as soon as the integration with Klaytn is completed.

Klaytn is the public blockchain platform created by Kakao’s blockchain technology affiliate, GroundX, which aims to lead the popularization by proving the value and usefulness of blockchain technology. The Klaytn Governance Council, which was released at the same time with the launch of mainnet in late June, is a major participant of global representative companies such as LG Electronics and Celltrion. The members of the Governance Council will be in charge of major decision-making relevant to Klaytn’s technology and business and operation of Klaytn’s Consensus Node. Klaytn focuses on fulfilling the requirements for performance and scalability of large-scale service offerings and building an environment where real services can run reliably.

D’CENT is a hardware-type cold wallet developed by IoTrust. It works with mobile apps via Bluetooth and features user authentication through fingerprint recognition to improve security and user experience. Recently, the company has attracted attention as the world’s first hardware wallet to support multicoin for the Ethereum Name Service (ENS). Currently, the company is conducting an event to issue a free ENS domain to D’CENT wallet users.
