As the pandemic is hitting all of us, hard, threatening our families and our very lives, and halting the world economy, the blockchain and cryptocurrency world are safer and stronger than most industries. We didn’t have to close shops or halt transactions, we can work from home quite easily, but we were hit, and our friends and families too. So we decided to fight back with what we have: the power of the digital world and cryptocurrencies. Because money can help those who are suffering, help hospitals face this incredible crisis and help scientists find a cure and a vaccine.
IOV is launching today a fundraising operation against the pandemic. Premium starnames that are not available on www.iov.one will be put exclusively on auction on OpenSea.io and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to NGOs fighting the COVID-19.

The operation is starting this week with five premium starnames: *doge, *link, *nerd, *hero, *jedi. Auction winners will be delivered a voucher allowing them to register their precious starnames on iov.one.
IOV plans to sell more premium starnames on OpenSea in the following weeks at the benefit of other NGOs. We are still open to suggestions, so do not hesitate to tell us about your favorite NGOs and your dream starname.
