Music is the asset of value in BitSong’s chain. When someone listens to a track, this is a transaction stored and immutable on the blockchain. Think of this idea as a blockchain-based jukebox where people can listen to albums or songs: a coin deposit and you can hit play!
In BitSong’s chain, uploaded music files are tokens with terms (a.k.a metadata) attached to them. These files are unique and can’t be duplicated or pirated and the metadata of each file will ensure the right and automatic attribution of royalties to be sent to your favorite artist within minutes or hours.
BitSong offers opportunities to create revenue and fan engagement using Fan Tokens and NFTs. Through BitSong’s Fan Token module any artist can mint and list their own tokens creating their own unique economy in a few minutes. These artist-owned economies can be the place to start and manage loyalty programs, crowd fundings, governance proposals, and any other community strategy where their fan tokens can be used as the main asset of exchange. Furthermore, artists will be able to connect their social media accounts to their fan tokens in a decentralized way. This feature opens new means to connect with their audience mixing traditional social media channels, such as Twitter, and blockchain.
Regarding NFTs, it’s a world of possibilities too! NFTs in the BitSong chain can be backed by any kind of digital media such as music, art, video clips, and so on. The NFTs can go along with songs release, gigs, merch, etc. and can be listed for sale in return for $BTSG or the artists’ own currency.
