2022 ended on an important momentum for Starname with the upgrade of the IOV blockchain and the release of the long-awaited escrow service for Starnames. This service makes the purchase and transfer of Starnames secure, fair, and provides complete security and peace of mind for both the buyer and seller during the transaction process. This unlocks the ability for our users to create value with their Starnames as they can now freely sell them.
This followed our implementation of certificates for Starnames, enabling the creation of verifiable claims. These digitally signed statements can be used to attest to the authenticity of a user’s identity or to prove other information such as ownership of a social handle or website.
Any entity, person, content creator, and most importantly, businesses can now place their first building block of their web3 presence by linking irrefutably their first digital assets with their existing business, personal or social identity.
Being able to close these two major milestones by the end of the year was not just a fancy deadline, it was the mark of a new expansion era for Starname in 2023 made possible by these achievements.
