Integration Announcement: Secret Network
Secret ($SCRT) will be supported by the Starname Manager
We’re happy to announce this week the integration of Secret ($SCRT), the native coin of the Secret Network, to the Starname Manager.
Unveiling the Secret Network
Secret Network is a blockchain-based, open-source protocol that brings privacy to blockchain and, by extension, to smart contracts. It makes possible the development of decentralised applications with encrypted inputs, outputs and state for smart contracts where the data is never exposed.
The Secret Network community understands privacy as a public good and often a big concern related to the mass adoption of blockchain technology. Their project offers solutions that combine the advantages of blockchain with the benefits of data privacy and the end of data monopoly. The concepts of privacy, freedom and consent are the base of their technology development.
Secret Integration
The integration of Secret will allow $SCRT holders to easily register for a starname and assign it to their Secret Network address. That means that $SCRT holders will be able to send and receive $SCRT using their starname through the Starname Manager and Cosmostation wallet (more wallets coming soon!). In other words, your Secret Network address can be linked to a name like *supersecret and, when the sender is using any partner wallet, your starname is all you will need to share to be the receiver of a transaction.
Starname comes with another feature for Secret holders: the crypto-profile. Logging into the Starname Manager, $SCRT holders will be able to set up their profile, which is a social media inspired profile to share one’s public crypto information. You can share your crypto-profile and, if the name service is supported by the wallet the sender is using, starname can be used. Otherwise, your crypto addresses are also displayed and the sender can use QR scanning, or copy and paste your info, to proceed with the transaction.
