This past July, the IOV team visited Seoul for the third time. Connecting and expanding in Asia is one of our key priorities and Seoul is surely one of the major Hubs and Drivers in the blockchain space.

This visit was notable as it marked the first appearance by our executives — Karim (CEO), Antoine (Co-founder), and Karine (COO). We had a chance to connect with current and potential partners and validators who believe in IOV values and are eager to build the blockchain ecosystem and grow together.

As a Sponsor of the HackAtom, the event opened with Karim’s inspiring keynote address, “Always code if you’re going to have an impact and change the world.” Throughout the three days, our booth ran a pre-registration name campaign and handed out IOV-branded t-shirts, stickers, and brochures. Antoine was one of the hackathon judges, and our team had a chance to celebrate with the winners, Nonce A team (Nonce + Node A) !

With IOV Testnet up and running, our team was on a mission to connect with potential validators. BUIDL Asia conference was the ideal opportunity to network with candidates, and we held a number of high-quality meetings with potential partners. We presented the IOV validator program to an exclusive group of validators, outlining the Proof-of-Value consensus and Quality Score, the guaranteed validator reward, and the additional value derived from name transactions made possible by IOV’s unique tokenomics. Overall, the teams we met felt very excited, inspired and showed a keen interest in the IOV validator program!

We took full advantage of our five-day stay to leverage meetings with potential partners from the Cosmos ecosystem. We also had a number of very inspiring meetings with some major players from the real economy who have a genuine interest in the blockchain technology, such as Messaging systems, E-commerce or Gaming. Those industries are primarily targeting non-crypto users and we are confident that our technology and the IOV name service will help them integrating the blockchain technology while offering a seamless experience to the end-user.

IOV team also met with Wallets and Exchanges as these are a natural fit with the IOV Name Service feature. As we move our business model towards B2B2C, our plan is to first embracing users of wallets and exchanges.

IOV’s mainnet launch is right around the corner!

The July visit to Seoul has been highly valuable and surely strengthen our confidence in our vision. During this trip, we witnessed the real market demand for the IOV Name Service in the rapidly expanding blockchain world, and we believe this will be the entry point for IOV’s other key products, IOV-Core and Weave, which we anticipate will increase the value of IOV and its ecosystem.

This visit to Seoul was exceptional in terms of the connections made with potential partners whose visions align with our own and who are prepared to grow and create together.

Time to shout out : Ready, Set, Go! To the launch!
