The Expansive Web of the Iowa Baseball Managers Program
The Iowa Baseball Managers program hasn’t always been what it is today.
Just a handful of years ago, the program only supported 8 managers that had to do everything behind the scenes as far as practice operations, set up and tear down, technology operations, scouting, as well as many other miscellanous tasks that came up on a daily basis.
Today, we have a team of over 20 student managers that is spread over 4 departments. Our responsibilities cover everything from on-field practice execution, to camera and technology set up, to planning/executing youth evaluation camps, to research projects and post-action reports.
While this piece is not designed to dive deep into the depth of responsibility of our program, this article from Chad Leistikow goes into more detail about what we do on daily basis across all of our departments.
We wanted to provide a (nearly) comprehensive list of all of the locations Iowa Baseball Managers have worked in baseball either during or after their time with the program.
