A View from my Bedroom Window

Not exactly the view from my window, but I did take this picture, and the sky matches the poem

Cotton candy clouds of purple
slowly fade to pink.
As the sun sets on the horizon
the moon begins to peak.

Another day drifting away
as night begins to creep.
Darkness lurks in the background
waiting for the sun to fully sink.
