Counting Sheep

No sleep

4 wooly sheep staring at the camera in an open field

Restless nights
No sleep counting sheep
So long the line, plenty sheep
Jumping over the moon
Their number called
Disappearing without a trace
Behind insomnia’s wall

Counting sheep
Sleep has abandoned me
I am left to counting sheep

Worry on my mind
Uncertain of the times
Am I coming, am I going
Or just sitting making rhymes
The voices they be saying
This part is not your task
Just stay aligned
Stay undefined
And listen for your call

Stark is the time piece
Watching dreams fall to pieces
Hurry, time is clocking time
The pages are turning
Rome is burning
I must get to moving
Or I’ll miss the awakening

Aquarian energy
Swirls around me
The watch word is community,
Open minded
Not one-sided
Hurry, hurry
Or I’ll miss my ride

Counting sheep
