The questions I grapple with today -
have already been laid to rest
by early church fathers.

They had it waxed
(Or so they thought)
It took them centuries,
but in the end, they all agreed.

No matter how hard I try,
their solutions fail to make sense to me!
So I keep on asking, questioning, agonizing
over that which ought not to be queried.

“No problem,” said the priest,
faith is all the proof you'll ever need.
Just believe the unbelievable…
