Sailing the great Sea of Stars on Earth Ship,
Mother Earth cries out with so many scars.
Once it thrived in harmonious kinship,
Rife provisions and glorious wonders.

Overpopulation, greed, and oil spills,
caused species extinction and vile chaos.
Glaciers melting from temperature grills,
spawned forest fires and weather morass.

Yet, still careless disrespect from humans,
behaving like Earth is a dumping site.
Calling it a conspiracy dooms us.
We’ve got limited time to make things right.

There are no lifeboats in our Universe.
I’m signaling S.O.S. much louder.
Earth pleads “Save Me,” but she’s hexed with our curse.
We’re floating out here and left to flounder.

“Look, there’s an Iceberg melting straight ahead.
Is anyone going to steer away?”

Stubborn denial with a “full speed ahead!”
Into the abyss, we will be someday.

Now, she’s hopelessly listing and sinking.
When a once-great Ship sinks from human wounds,
her passengers drown too with dreadful sounds.
Survivors will wonder “What were they thinking?”
