Girl in the Meadow

A poem from the multiverse

As I strolled through the countryside
I noticed a girl relaxing in a nearby meadow

She had beautiful wavy brown hair
And milky white skin

And simple plain clothes
With a wide-brimmed straw hat

She made the entire scene seem
Like something surreal

So I made my way over her way
To introduce myself

But just as I stepped onto that meadow
I was zapped by a strange electricity

That sent a tingling sensation
All throughout my being

While the entire scene rippled
Like I was a stone dropped into a lake

As if I had crossed some kind of forbidden threshold
Between my world and hers

Until a cool breeze wound its way through
The scene to subdue the static in situ

Which gave me the courage
To greet the meadow girl

But she was completely oblivious
To my presence
