Happiness doesn’t require photoshop.
Happiness… is sometimes with a blurry make-up.
Happiness knows no leader or god,
but lives in the eyes of the person you love.

Happiness is in the footsteps of your child,
in an unexpected encounter, in the smell of coffee;
in the strength to stand up when someone betrays you —
no one can steal that from you.

You need little to be happy —
first of all, just to be alive.
Your purest impulses not to hide and repress,
your leitmotif to be the joy of your loved ones.

Staged photos and expressions of joy,
mock smiles, and thirst for attention —
all of this conceals your weakness of mind,
that inside, you’re actually a hollow creature.

Take a moment, and you will feel
the rain in your eyes that drowns you incessantly.
Lift up your head, and a new light will shine upon you,
the pain will recede, and a new path will open.

Happiness isn’t some fancy fashion.
It is a personal struggle for each of us.
And even if you realize you’re a different breed
than others, don’t be sad, smile.
