Happiness Delivery
Poetry
happiness, like eating a warm bowl
of homemade soup on a cold day
so warm and comforting
like autumn leaves falling on your head
and tossing them around while running
through leafy piles
so much fun
like springtime’s sweet scents of
early bloomers
like the fresh, sharp, woodsy aroma
of evergreen trees
so invigorating as a cool breeze,
earthy and fresh
like the sunny days of summer that
light up your face as you pull back
the shades or open the door
so balmy and glowing, crinkling
your face into a smile, making you glad it’s
not a rainy day
happiness, a heart of content
and tranquility
a heart that leaps for joy
deeply worn inside making
it your favorite place to be
happiness, letting go of all
that weighs heavy
feeling
growing
sustenance for the heart
and freedom for the soul
