Morjim Beach, Goa

Where the sky meets the sea
And the sun meets its twin;
The beauty of the horizon,
Lost in the day to day,
In the city and the hills,
But can be felt on the beach.

In the layers of blue on black
And orange on blue
and ultimately yellow on orange
When seen from up above the sky,
The beauty of the horizon
From a tiny window,
Of a large Aeroplane.

The grey of the sea
Subtly fusing,
In the grey of the sky;
And the sun creating
Diamonds aplenty,
On the waters so vast.

The birds traversing the horizon
From the sky to the sea
Going from one world to another
Oh, so quick.

They forget the lines.

Where it starts
And where it ends
On plains filled with snow
It’s hard to find the horizon,
But so easy to get lost in.

So just for today,
I will be like the birds,
And blur the lines,
To lose myself in the beauty of the horizon.

And forget, where the white ends
And the blue begins.
