I Can Rest Now

I’ve arrived at the shore

I think it’s just so easy for all of you
to forget about — all of us
but people like me
(the mom and teacher down the street)
we carried a lot on our shoulders
we went without
we made do
to make do
for all of you
(I know no one asked us to)
