One Mind of Two Strangers

The dilemma in our hearts

When two strangers meet,
Sometimes, they are reluctant to mingle.
The unclear thoughts of one,
Keeps its proximity far from
The clear friendliness of the other.
Each one reflects the color
of the social conditioning one has gone through,
Sometimes with sensibilities
And sometimes with aloofness.

High barrier walls stand tall
as the witness of scars and emotional turmoil,
It feels impervious being so tough and so thick.
Little do we know about the tiny soft spot
That exists in plain sight
for someone special to discover and connect.

Will they ever unburden, which feels heavy?
Or they will tumble and fall flat in the process,
Will they move away from those rugged walls?
And steer each other to the soft spot of compassion,
Or they will stay hidden forever behind those walls.

Let’s hope and wish,
Their contrasting paths become one,
Their walls become one,
Their thoughts become one,
And those two strange minds become one.
