Porcelain eyes
See plainly through
They melt into swirls
Of oil and water

Porcelain eyes
Are the tears of the earth
The vases of overgrown tulips
Effortlessly breaking
To spill the flowers honey

Porcelain eyes
Are sharper than knives
And smoother than air

There are no tears to shed
Or clay to sculpt

Porcelain eyes
Are the bounds of emotion.
