Reclaim Your Power

Write the poem
that is fighting to come
from inside of you.
Kill all the distractions
and reclaim your power.
Rise above all of
those stale friendships
and conversations that go nowhere
only people talking about people.
Throw that biting sex
out of the window
which is only for the body
but does not soothe the soul.
Kill all distractions
reclaim your power.
Sit still and
let the verses flow out of you.
Write the poem
that’s wanting to come
from inside of you.
That is fighting to come
out of you.
