Red Wine Fool

It is you who tempts me
With your luscious dark ruby red
Rich taste dancing merrily
Upon my palate upon my tongue.

Vibrant ruby red brings out temptation
With which I find myself
Devouring with a fervor
As if there will be no more,
As if there will be no more tomorrows.

And yet again I know there will.
To once again find I’m coming round
Not awakening,
With a heavy head saying,
Nay pleading,

Please; no more!

You greedy, tempted red wine fool.
