Restlessness
True Poem
Who among you, by being anguished,
can lengthen a single elbow
the length of your life? — Matthew 6:27
Of the present absent
with the heart to the past
clinging,
agitated feeling
new or senile regressed;
the spirits upset
distressed…
Useless to the weary spirit
and bent over with existence
upset;
therefore he resigned
to his grasped dominion
and choose to emancipate yourself
of the damage of him …
Still broken with anger
the contempt or the alien
offense conferred,
choose what emotions you
control your gaze;
and grant your soul on fire
that defends the joy of life …

¿Quién de ustedes, por angustiarse,
puede alargar un solo codo
la duración de su vida? — Mateo 6:27
Del presente ausentado
con el corazón al pasado
aferrado,
agitado el sentimiento
nuevo o senil involucionado;
zozobra el ánimo
angustiado…
Inútil al espíritu cansado
y doblegado de existencia
acongojado;
por ello renuncia
a su dominio atenazado
y elige emanciparte
de su daño…
Aún quebrado por la ira
el desprecio o la ajena
ofensa conferida,
elige qué emociones te
controlen la mirada;
y otorga a tu alma encendida
que defienda la alegría de la vida…
