A poem about life

You say it is okay, but I know it is not
Life has been overwhelming and distraught
My mind has been playing games — I swear a lot
I scream in silence with this train of thought
This battle of demons in my head needs to be fought
For I ought to be firm & resilient as the tight knot
Shall not sulk and cry, leave self to rot
Amid misery and suffering, I’m not a hot pot
So, I will dance, celebrate, and laugh because, why not?
Life is too short to be a mournful robot.
