Subterfuge

A Poem

I’m too honest,
Even though I’m too sad.
I wish I could be like
Wall Street,
I wish I could be like
The UN,
I wish I could be like
The Chrysler building,
I wish I could be like you in your
Subterfuge.
Give me your faith,
And I’ll make a new religion
Out of it,
I need to form my own worship,
In order to get praised.
Short term is the new long term,
A hit of success,
Dopemine in cash,
As I crash…
