The Net of Stars

A peek at eternity

Photo by Billy Huynh on Unsplash

In the net of stars
through which eternity peeks
I see your bright face.

Who can number the stars? Who would really want to? We gaze upon them. Wish upon them. Believe them to be the souls of those we have loved and lost. The comfort of connection, no matter how distant, for eternity.

And Christmas still comes…

English Poetry “ I do not want to”

Ace of the mace

Scissor me, Slice me, Contusion me, Problem me, Pang me, Empty me, Lonely me

A black and white photo of an individual in a checkered top and shorts sits on a couch knees to chest in the dark. The phantom image of them sitting upright with hands on head is featured behind the image of them resting head on their knees. Behind them we see shuttered doors and a set of shuttered windows.

NIGHTS N FIGHTS LYRICS — Jasmin Walia, Asim Riaz

A twisted retelling
