The simplicity of life
When you’re extended in no direction.
Only here
Only This moment
Bring your hands back to your chest
Let go of his pulling fingertips
For they are not open and pulling you.
Reel your heart back into your own chest
And feel around
Find the smooth spots
Find the rough edges
Explore.
Don’t try to fix or heal
Just discover
You are the terrain to be discovered.
Get your compass out
See where the heart goes and
Lovingly compel it to come back
To love it
To choose it.
It’s time to make that change
Not out of fear
Not out of sadness
But out of choice
It is yours after all.
