The Space Between Us

The two banks of a river,
Run parallel to each other,
But why are they never able to meet?
Alas, I’ll never be able to solve this riddle,
Alas, my silence wouldn’t be able to speak with you.

In this journey of life, I wish sometimes,
We could have walked together from dusk to dawn.
The dreams that we wove in the past,
Have come undone strand by strand.
I wish I could have understood the meaning of companionship,
Desolation and endless silence were all I could determine.

Those moments of togetherness,
And ages of dissolution.
The tale has ended,
The pain endures.
Life might take another turn,
One day.
Maybe I will see you again,
One day.
