A Poem about Sadness

and the sky looks a bit different today
as if something is missing or maybe
the moon there can’t fool me tonight.

tonight my words are not ready to smile,
tonight the poet in me is trying hard to
write about that sadness that shattered
the mirror within me. tonight I am writing
to unfold my paper heart. my words can’t
