The Woman in Me

A poem for everyday

Photo by Youssef Aboutaleb on Unsplash

To want nothing. Just to wait, until there is nothing left to wait for.
- Georges Perec

The woman in me is tired of all this celebrations and gaiety.
The woman in me wants to just wake up and look at the sky quietly.
The woman in me wants to hold the cup of chai and drown her sorrows in it.
The woman in me wants to rent a home near the sea for a week.
