They live here too
like watching cartoons
from the other room
The Flash!
from the change of scene—
All things heard—
All things seen—
The ghosts of Present's past,
living in the in-between.

Are we then to uncurl
our minds like fine carpet
to live on the side
of the other's other?
Or is there another way
we may hold sacred such space
as shared or held safely
alone?

No matter the case,
they are all here to stay.
They live here too.
