For all it’s haunted morbidity
and white mysticism
and elusive shining
and poetic metaphors
and ideal depiction of Chopin’s darkest Mazurkas
and evocation of ominous thoughts

there remains no superior light to grace two lovers’s kiss

so it keeps coming out

in the lesser half of day

and as far as love is concerned
defeats the sun.
