Why Do We Hurt Our Women?
They deserve respect too
We take their love like an entitled bloke,
But we grope them in a crowd till they choke.
They accept our insecurities, our egos they feed.
Yet we slap them till their gentle skin bleeds.
Why do we hurt our women?
We give them hell while they serve us heaven.
We run away from a fight on the street,
But batter her till she staggers on her feet.
Our bravado is in hitting the physically weak —
those who willingly show the other cheek.
One word a little too sharp,
One thing out of place,
One time we let it slide,
Next time they get a tight one on their face.
Why do we hurt our women?
All year round they care for us from seven to eleven.
We try to control all the women folk,
But unable to control our own emotions,
We blame them for all our failures,
yet all our success is due to their devotion.
We believe our genitals decide our manhood,
yet we fail to do what a man should.
It is to protect and support the weak
that a man has a strong physique.
Why do we hurt our women?
They are, therefore we are.
