Water your talent,
Write for yourself.
Grow little leaves of art,
Every day without fail.

As you sow, shall you reap,
Write for yourself, and read.
Learn and practice on repeat,
So you become the best in this biz.

What others want matters,
But always write for yourself first.
Jobs and money are important,
But your inner writer shouldn’t get burnt.

I have learned this the hard way,
But you don’t have to sway.
‘Coz here’s a little reminder,
Every day without fail.
