In other words, relationships are very important in everything we do.
We believe that words can be steps to a human connection.

The Italian version of this post

Where were we?
Ah yes, the iPressLIVE algorithm.
Yet technology is not everything, and it does not always help us understand where to go — but people do. Especially if they are the right ones.

Let me tell you about a special meeting.

A few days ago I was waiting to make a call with Doug Schmidt, the founder of Metaprice, a very interesting platform that connects founders with investors. I have to admit, I was very nervous. I kept repeating our pitch and thinking that that call could completely change the direction we had already taken with iPress. And, of course, that was scary.

Then, finally, the screen lit up and I found myself meeting Doug’s gaze.

It wasn’t the first time that this had happened: we’d met while presenting iPress in front of an audience of investors during our first pitch in New York in Microsoft. I recognized his face in the front row and I detected a shadow of doubt in his eyes. The same doubt that I expected to detect also now.

“The idea of a platform for reading, as much as it could help me reduce the time I spend on selecting information, doesn’t drive me wild,” said Doug laconically. But then he added: “But the last thing you said, Marisandra, that would make me subscribe instantly. When I read, I always only focus my attention on the content, while you’re proposing that I also take into consideration the authors and even give me the possibility to follow them and interact easily with them on their social channels. That would make me subscribe right away.”

I stared at him in amazement through the screen. It was like looking at a magic mirror reflecting only the best part of me.

“Doug, but that’s what iPress has always done. The novelty is that we are finally breaking down the wall that separates readers from authors,” I replied.

It is true, our platform facilitates reading, but of all the words that it manages every day, it extracts only the most interesting authors, rearranging the articles by topic and creating real bridges between readers and authors, who often get lost in the social media mazes.

We are what we meet
Of course, what we read influences us a lot, in terms of our way of being and thinking. But it is the relationships that we interweave throughout our lives that really mold us and give us some sort of idea of what we’re worth: a value that is not measured by the quantity of our relationships — or the number of followers we can attract — buy rather by the quality of these relationships.

And it is also from this intuition that iPressLIVE was born: a tool designed for communicators who make this network their main activity, but that is also open to readers in general. Today we are breaking down every wall to build a world where every single reader can easily interact with his favorite authors through different media.

Try to imagine. Imagine. You are a business person reading news about your industry. Usually your attention is on content, more than on the authors of the articles you read. And usually if you would like to connect to the author, traditional methods make this difficult and time consuming. Now imagine connecting to that author, while you are reading, in one easy click. This is why we created iPressLIVE.

We believe that words can be steps to a human connection.
Specialists can now connect to authors and journalists directly.
Journalists and authors can increase their readers, get in touch with specialists and experts and reach vertical industry communities. Everyone benefits.
We are the result of all the connections we create around us.
We are breaking down the barriers between authors and readers to create a community where knowledge is exchanged, and networks are shared.

It’s as if we were all shining through what we write online and, in this universe of particles represented by the Web, it’s as if our brightness increased along with the number of people interested in our content.

This applies to writers, but also to readers.

Readers want to attract quality authors, while authors look for readers who are really interested in their stories. We would like to be the magnet that finally unites them.

A quality network
iPressLIVE is reading as a service platform, but also an augmented reading system that facilitates the construction of a quality network, through the automatic and human reading of books, newspapers, radios and TVs, passing through social media and the web, following long streets paved with words.

In other words, we are a bridge between you, the reader, and all the most interesting authors. We are the bridge between you, the author, and all the most interesting readers.

On our platform you can start building your network thanks to the selection that it makes every day just for you: starting from the thousands of sources it reads, it reorganizes content and authors by subject, dividing them into 20 sectors and 400 micro-topics only in Italian.

As of today, we’re also quickly integrating content in English, which mainly focuses on technology, the topic we know best: artificial intelligence, blockchain, startup, e-commerce, the cloud, and much more.

Getting to the same categories that are available in Italian is not a question of if, but when. The speed will only depend on how much you believe in our dream.

We’re already on our way, all you have to do is fasten your seatbelts!
