Kitsumon
Kitsumon is an NFT game on the Polygon blockchain. Kitsumon is all about collecting, breeding, raising, and competing with your Kitsu pets. Kitsus are mythical creatures with primordial origins. Every Kitsu is unique, having its own digital DNA and arrangement of 44 individual genes. They each have their own stats, abilities, and elemental alignments as well.
Taking the form of NFTs, players can develop their Kitsu in any way they desire. However, the better, stronger, and healthier a Kitsu is, the more valuable it will become. Not only can players trade, sell, or rent out their Kitsu, but they can also breed their Kitsu with others. Passing on a Kitsu’s bloodline can also mean more rewards! With a built-in royalty reward system for passing along the DNA of the Kitsu, owners earn passive income from any trades involving a Kitsu they have royalty percentages on.
There are a variety of activities players can choose from, each from which stand to improve their assets. From farming, fishing, crafting, and breeding to land acquisition and a PvP battle arena, players can approach Kitsumon from whatever angle will better suit their their Kitsu.

IQ Protocol will be providing the basis for Kitsumon’s NFT rental marketplace. Kitsumon has created its own standalone NFT marketplace, giving players and traders alike a place to buy, sell, trade, and now (thanks to IQ Protocol) lend or rent in-game assets.

We at IQ Protocol know that digital assets are not only valuable, but are also important to their owners. That is why we have worked hard to come up with a secure platform for renting and borrowing of digital assets. Typical modes of lending an asset puts a lender at risk, say, if the borrower refuses to return or loses hold of the asset (for whatever reason). With IQ Protocol, such risks are not a concern. Instead of giving the original asset to the borrower, IQ Protocol mints an expirable version of the NFT (which contains all of the unique features of the original). This NFT is then given to the borrower. This guarantees that the original NFT is always safe and can be returned to the owner after the agreed-upon rental contract has expired. Now, players can rest easy renting out the items that they aren’t currently using, providing the guild with a frictionless way of pooling their assets.
