Investment Management reading list
I’ve learnt a lot from Twitter especially from their FinTwit community. I tend to use Tim Ferriss’ questions from the Tribe of Mentors book to ask the community and get their insights. My focus is on their process rather than their results/ success. In other words, I want to know what are their habits and is there any way I can use it.
One of the Tim Ferriss questions is “What is the book (or books) you’ve given most as a gift, and why? Or what are one to three books that have greatly influenced your life?”. When it comes to me trying to acquire hard-skills, I tend to tweak the question by asking them about newsletters or reports that they follow.
Recently, I saw Christie Hamilton (TW: ROIChristie) doing her regular AMAs. I took the opportunity to ask her about the newsletters and reports that she read. FYI, she’s the Head of Investments at the $2 billion Children’s Health Medical Center of Dallas. She tweets a lot about the institutional capital allocation (mostly while she’s at the airport).
